Lake Hopatcong Chapter

Welcome To Our Website

President's Message

We finally have normal summer weather, in fact it has been better than normal weather with warm days and cool evenings. We just had a great cruise on Miss Lotta, the Lake Hopatcong dinner cruise ship. Most of us have been on cruises around Lake Hopatcong, but this was special. We had 45 members enjoy sights on the lake. I can only speak for myself, I saw homes and boat houses I hadn’t seen before! My thanks to Bob Kays for setting up the evening. The food was outstanding, catered by Anthony & Sons in Ledgewood. We had two captains on board: Tom Bush and Tom Costigan guiding the event. Tom Bush is a lifelong resident of Lake Hopatcong and a member of our chapter, as well as ACBS International. Tom Costigan is from Lake Forest, and has been a licensed master captain since 2004. Bob Kays is putting together a leave peeping lunch for October 11. Stay tuned for the flyer and registration.

We have a few events left this year. The Lobster and Steamer dinner is August 21st at the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club and at this writing is not yet sold out.
You can still register on the website and send your check to our treasurer Jackie Loughridge. We are making the evening a social event primarily, with a brief business meeting and no formal program. We also have the Halloween Party and auction October 25th  and our year-end meeting November 23rd . Details for registration for the party and year-end meeting will be posted shortly.

Many of you have completed the Membership Survey  online and we are asking you again to take a few minutes and let us know what you like to see with your chapter in the future. There is a link on the site and there was also a word document sent via email for your convenience, especially if you find the computer intimidating!

I look forward to seeing you in the near future.
